Geylang Serai Bazaar

One of the biggest highlights of March 2025 is the Geylang Serai Bazaar, and this is also one of the events I look forward to every year!

Bazaars are a significant part of Ramadan in Singapore, held to bring communities together and to celebrate the spirit of the holy month.

Ramadan, observed by Muslims worldwide, is a time of fasting, prayer, and reflection. But as the sun sets, it’s also a time for feasting—and that’s where the Geylang Serai Bazaar shines!

The vibrant streets come alive with dazzling lights, decorative stalls, and an irresistible aroma of delicious food.

This year, with over 150 vendors, you’ll be spoilt for choice with traditional delights like Ramly burgers, roti john, putu piring, vadai, epok-epok, and ayam percik.

If you’re feeling adventurous, try modern twists like rainbow cheese toast, ondeh-ondeh waffles, and nasi lemak burgers. Whether you’re in the mood for something nostalgic or eager to try the latest food trend, there’s something for everyone here.

If you’re around the Bugis area, don’t miss the Gemilang Kampong Gelam 2025. It may be a smaller version of the Geylang Serai Bazaar, but it’s just as lively and offers a unique cultural experience in the heart of Singapore.

With a mix of 120 stalls, you’ll find a variety of mouth-watering treats and handmade crafts.

Some popular stores include Kampong Kitchen, which serves authentic Malay cuisine, and Batik & Co., where you can pick up beautifully handcrafted batik apparel and souvenirs.

Street performances and live music add to the festive atmosphere, making it a perfect place to soak in the heritage of Kampong Gelam.

After shopping in Bugis, pop by Gemilang Kampong Gelam for a delicious dinner and experience the authentic taste of local Malay food.

Whether you’re looking for unique gifts or just want to enjoy the vibrant night market vibes, this bazaar is a must-visit.
