How to get there

Here are a few easy ways to reach Gardens by the Bay:

Option 1: By MRT via Circle or Downtown Line

Hop off at Bayfront MRT Station (CE1/DT16).
Take Exit B, and follow the signs to cross the scenic Dragonfly Bridge. The walk is short and offers great views, so take your time to enjoy it!

Option 2: By MRT via Thomson-East Coast Line

Alight at Gardens by the Bay Station (TE22).
From there, take Exit 1, which leads you straight into Gardens by the Bay, conveniently located near Satay by the Bay.

Option 3: By MRT via East-West Line

If you’re coming via the East-West Line, get off at Tanjong Pagar MRT Station (EW15).
Head to Exit C and walk to bus stop 03223 at International Plaza along Anson Road.
Take bus 500, and alight at bus stop 03371 on Marina Gardens Drive.

Free attractions

You don’t need to spend a cent to enjoy the beauty of Gardens by the Bay! If you’re on a budget but still want to experience the perfect mix of nature and architectural wonders, explore the free attractions.

Most of these are open from 5:00 AM to 2:00 AM, except for Bay East Garden, which operates around the clock.

Supertree Grove

The Supertree Grove is a must-visit! These iconic structures are adorned with a variety of ferns, orchids, and other plants, creating a stunning display of greenery. Each evening, the Supertrees come alive at night with a spectacular light and sound show at 7:45 PM and 8:45 PM.

Heritage Gardens

Consisting of 4 themed gardens: Indian, Chinese, Malay, and Colonial, that explore the rich cultural diversity of Singapore, showcasing plants and landscapes significant to each heritage. Stroll through these areas to gain insights into the region’s cultural history and botanical connections!

Another option is Klook, which often has better deals and discounts. If you already have an account, you can even use your credits to offset the ticket price. Plus, they offer combo packages for other attractions within Gardens by the Bay, so it’s worth checking out.

Affordable options

Hawker centres are usually a more affordable option compared to restaurants. Still, since Satay by the Bay is right in a prime location – between Gardens by the Bay and Marina Barrage, which are popular tourist spots – prices might be slightly higher than what you’d find in neighbourhood hawker centres.

That said, it’s worth a visit! If you haven’t tried any local Singaporean dishes yet, or if it’s your last day in Singapore, this is a great spot to savour authentic flavours in a beautiful setting.

Alternatively, you can pack your own food and have a picnic in the gardens. It’s a fantastic way to enjoy the lush greenery while relaxing with your favourite bites. Either way, you’re in for a memorable experience!
